Iggy Azalea has been on the rise this year.  She released two singles off of her anticipated debut studio album The New Classic.  The album is set for a summer 2013 release.   Her first released single, “Work”, is a song that is sure to make fans appreciate her more.  After taking a listen to the lyrics, you will be able to hear her side of the story of how she got to where she is today.  “Bounce”, which was released on Friday, April 26 is an upbeat song that can be enjoyed by the ladies and by those who like to dance.  Iggy has shown how versatile she can be with her music, and with a new record deal under her belt, fans should expect to hear more songs like these from the Australia native.  Iggy officially announced earlier in the week that she signed to Island Def Jam/Mercury UK Records.

Bringing the news back to Delaware, on Friday, April 19, Union Music Group released The Mile High Club.  The LP was released as a free download for fans and new listeners alike.  UMG also released videos for two of their singles from their LP.  ”All Night Long” was released in March while “Cheryl Miller” was released earlier this month.  ”All Night Long” is a high energy song with a relaxed feel to the video, reminiscent of how entertaining rap videos used to be years ago.  ”Cheryl Miller” features Bobby Rrié singing the vocals while the guys of UMG rap over a slow tempo, bass-filled beat.  Both songs can give you insight as to how these four rappers work well together when it comes to creating music.  You can download UMG’s The Mile High Club here and view the track-listing here.

A$AP Mob are also making big moves this year.  The members of this diverse music group are all a part of three different tours.  A$AP Rocky has been busy performing with Rihanna during her Diamonds World Tour.  After he finishes with this, A$AP Rocky will be heading overseas to perform in cities such as London, Amsterdam, and Paris.  Juicy J will be joined by A$AP Ferg from April to June for the 37-day Stay Trippy Tour.  A$AP Ferg recently released the video to his song “Persian Wine” off of the Lord$ Never Worry 2012 mix-tape.  Fellow mob members make cameos in the video as well as kids of the younger generation.  The visuals for “Persian Wine” show off the creative side of A$AP Ferg’s mind.  Japan is also getting a taste of the mob with the A$AP Mob Japan Tour.  Select members will be performing during the 5-day tour which begins on Sunday, April 28.

– Music21st

This past month has left us with plenty of new music to enjoy during the month of August and the rest of this year. From Flatbush Zombies releasing their first official mixtape to Iggy Azalea releasing her second, there is a lot of fresh new music to listen to. Flatbush Zombies released their mixtape, D.R.U.G.S., on July 23. Their music is different from the everyday rap and hip-hop songs you might hear on the radio, and that is what makes them unique and stand out from other rappers. Iggy Azalea, the female Australian rapper, released her EP Glory on July 30. Her mixtape features fellow rappers T.I., Pusha T, and B.O.B. and singer Mike Posner. The video to her song Murda Bizness featuring T.I. was also released last month. Domo Genesis and The Alchemist also teamed up and made their mixtape, No Idols. Although their mixtape was released on the first of this month, it still deserves recognition. It features rappers Earl Sweatshirt, SpaceGhostPurrp, Smoke DZA, and many more. All of these artists put in a lot of time and work to make sure they gave their fans the best of the best when it came to these mixtapes. Be sure to check the links below the photos to download their mixtapes if you haven’t already.
